Design process focusing on Image & Structure
The first step is to determine the elements of the original design that can form the primary structure to support the volume of the auditoriums, which rests only on the two accesses.
Clarification of the basic layout through the the definition of the relationship between load-bearing and non-load-bearing elements, as well as the façade. Clear distinction between spaces inside and outside the support. Exploring their spacial characteristics.

First attempt
Exploring the use of the façades and the cross walls as a primary structure.
Second attempt
Exploring the use of the auditorium walls as primary structure.
Load-bearing, non-load-bearing elements and façade
Model showing the relationship between the primary support members - which are ruling the ground floor -, the secondary dividing walls and the façades.
Showing the freedom offered by the chosen support structure to develop the auditoriums spatial expression in the lobby space.
