The following pages document an exemplary process that took place as part of the assisted design develoment focusing on Image & Structure in the MA program Spatial Design at the University of Art and Design, Helsinki (January 25 - February 3, 2005).
Student Salla Kantokorpi worked on the further development of her project
design, which she had submitted to Tampere University of Technology.
Based on this design, she developed a structural system that preserved the image of the façade floating above ground.
In turn working on the development of her design helped her clarify unresolved issues in her spatial design.

The volume of the auditoriums does only touch ground with the necessary circulation elements. The transparent façade is hanging above ground.
The auditorium volume forms with its under side the space of the free flowing lobby.
